From Freiburg to Cape Town. By bike.

From October 2023 to December 2024, Wiebke Lühmann went on the biggest bikepacking adventure of her life.

20,000 kilometers. 15 months. 22 countries. These figures are impressive. And yet for Wiebke, this trip was about so much more. Above all, it was about freedom. About spontaneity, new places and people, and trusting in herself and her own path.

Wiebke also goes her own way when choosing her equipment. She made the conscious decision to go without classic cycling clothing. Instead, the focus was on maximum flexibility, freedom of movement, and protection from the African sun.
